ParkZoo International Pet Industry Exhibition 2014

The 4th ParkZoo International Pet Industry Exhibition took place from 18th – 20th September in Moscow’s Sokolniki Exhibition Centre. With 200 Russian and non-Russian participating companies, it attracted 10,000 pet professionals from every region of Russia.

ParkZoo has become so integral to the Russian pet business scene that it is now impossible to think of September without this, still relatively young, exhibition. At four years old - does this make it a youngster or well established? It seems that its youthful age is no barrier to maturity.

ParkZoo International Pet Industry Exhibition 2014
The opinion of many is that this year, ParkZoo has approached its perfect state. The exhibition has blossomed in all directions and now, without any shadow of a doubt, can rightly be called one of the main and certainly, not to be missed, events of the pet business year. This year saw the main players on the pet products market at home and abroad coming from all over Russia, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, UK, the Baltics, India and China.

It was obvious to even the most casual observer that there were more visitors than in previous years, with people travelling from all corners of Russia and Europe.

The Business Programme kicked off even before the main exhibition had opened. It was launched the preceding day by the Pet Business Entrepreneurs’ Forum, run by the Russian Pet Industry Union that brought together 150 pet business entrepreneurs and veterinarians, engendering huge interest among the Russian national press.

The Business Programme also had seminars and talks for pet store workers, breeders, aquarium specialists as well as the now traditional Autumn Veterinary Conference, attended by over 200 vets.

For the third year running, ParkZoo was the venue for a salon grooming festival. This year the groomers were given their own zone where facilities could be set up for both groomers and spectators. It proved popular, attracting both those with long professional experience as well as relative newcomers.

Participating companies made presentations, provided special attractions of different sorts, and, of course, had lots of surprises up their sleeves.

The New Products Showcase was the place for new products, about 150 of them, that had appeared on the Russian market within the last year. Throughout the three exhibition days, this stand was always full of visitors, the winners being selected by a jury made up, inter alia, of retailers, the very people who tomorrow will be selling the new products in their outlets.

With each year that goes by, ParkZoo, organised by ARTIS-Expo, becomes even more attractive, packed with interest and new information. Ask any of the exhibition’s participants, all of whom, both Russian and foreign, are major players on the Russian pet market.

In 2015, ParkZoo will be held from 16th to 18th September.
